The secret of constructing a ship's boat is to frame and plank over a plug formed to the inside dimensions of the boat. Carving and notching it accurately for the frames can be difficult. To solve this problem we have created a resin cast plug assembly. A spacer plate aligns the two halves perfectly and the planking run is lightly scored on the starboard half. All that is required is to glue the components together.

lAdmiralty Models, in conjunction with the Hobby Mill, has developed a wood timbering package for the 16' 0" cutter. All the perfectly dimensioned boxwood and holly wood required to construct the model is provided. It is especially difficult for many modelers to cut holly to its final, almost translucent thickness. The package is shown below.
